Removing old rtl8812au-0902+dfsg DKMS files…ĭeleting module version: 0902+dfsg How can I delete this package from the update list (apt-cache?) and prevent it from downloading/notifying again? I’ve tried to apt-mark the package, to no avail. The driver version it’s requesting to install seems to be identical to the version that is already installed. It happens every time I use apt, the pop shop etc and it’s becoming an annoyance. So basically, I just want it to stop asking me to update.

It cannot install this driver due to it being incompatible with the kernel in 20.10, due to it missing a header (net/ipx.h) in linux-headers-5.15\_xxx. Upon fresh installing, the first batch of updates it gets includes the rtl8812au-dkms driver. I’m on Pop\_OS 21.10 and Wifi is working fine out of the box.
